My Summer Recipes: Fruit Skewers and Popsicles
Choose some fruit you like. I'll give you some ideas: bananas, apples, strawberries, kiwis, blackcurrants, grapes, etc.
Wash the fruit that you don't need to peel.
Cut them into pieces, and for those that are harder to cut, ask a grown-up for help - remember, there should always be one by your side when you cook.
Put the pieces of banana, strawberry, grape, apple, etc., on wooden skewers. Watch out! Don’t prick yourself!
Sprinkle with lemon juice so that the fruit does not oxidize (it means so that it does not turn brown).
And to complete this snack, ask a grown-up to make popsicles. You need popsicle molds (you can find them in most stores for a reasonable price): fill them with fruit juice (orange juice for instance) or water with syrup (lemon syrup, etc.) Put them in the freezer until they turn into real popsicles. The good news is that when you have eaten them all, you can easily make more!
